Drivers Honored at Safety Banquet
(August 2006)

The annual drivers' safety banquet was held in February at the Holiday Inn, Staunton , Virginia . The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a new 2006 GMC pickup truck by random drawing of qualified drivers and shop personnel. The truck was present for all drivers and personnel having injury free lost-time in 2005. The winner of the truck was Covington driver, Robert Yopp.

Monroe Yonts was recognized this year for achieving one million accident free miles. He was honored with a Houff jacket and plaque.

Ten drivers were recognized for years of safe driving. They were:
Five years: Bert Brown, David DeWeese, Bill Graham, Ed Owens, and Steve Riley.
Ten years: Stephen Boyers, Nolen Chandler, Ralph Ritchie, and Monroe Yonts.

And... Rollin Miller was recognized for 35 years of safe driving. Congratulations men on a job well done.
